I would like to donate some gifts to the local Meals on Wheels for the shut-ins?
Jun 25th, 2010 by Coffee Lover
for Christmas. I don’t want to give the "usual" generic gifts (lotions, soaps etc). So far I have the following: journals, playing cards, speciality coffee and teas. It seems like so many of the elderly are forgotten at Christmas, I really want to do something special for them. Does anyone have Some suggestions for other gifts that I could donate?

How sweet!! Books of puzzles, like crosswords, maybe? Look for large print, of course. Some cheerful decorative items might be appreciated, too. My grandmother loves the animated, dancing toys that places like Hallmark sell every year around Christmas! And my grandfather used to love those lower-priced handheld video games you can get at places like Target: he had a video poker game my mother got him for about fifteen dollars that he had a lot of fun with.
