coffee house that caters to mom’s and small children?????

i have access to a home that is zoned commercial….my good friend and i have come up with an idea to turn it into a cool coffee house tht would cater to mom’s and dad’s too…with small children….we would have staff that is hired to take the kids upstairs to a "day care" type setting (toys, activities, crafts, etc) while the parent(s)/care giver enjoys a specialty coffee (tea, cold drink, pastry…..the regular coffee house menu stuff) and the company of other adults…..the adults would also be very welcome to join their children upstairs, if they wished and participate with them………what do you think of this idea….we do live in ontario, canada in a town with many young families……..thank you for your views/opinions/help!!! looking forward to reading what you have to say about this!

I’d say want a business partner in BC? What a great idea…I know with my child we were always going to the local fun palace where it was very noisy and you’d be running around with your child and unable to enjoy a friends company….Ikea has a program where they have a play area you sign your kids into and then you can go shop. I used to sign mine in and just go for coffee in their restaurant with my girl friends. A coffee place is a great idea…good for you.

I think that is a most excellent idea. You might have to have certain inspections by the state making sure that you wash the toys after the kids leave with the appropriate antiseptic because you want to make sure you are compliant with that sort of thing to keep the mommies happy. That is an ingenious idea and I wish you the best of luck i that endeavor. What part of the country do you live in? My sister is always thinking of new ideas for a business and I though I would share this with her but did not want to if you live close to her. Thanks.
