Cover of Ben Fold’s new song “free coffee” from his forthcoming album “Way To Normal” out this Septmeber 30th. I gave it my best try with no sheet music or recordings out for the general public yet. I did this take between teaching my students. Hope I made you proud Ben!

Thanks for the message. This was over a year ago I am much better now. there was no sheet music at the time when I played this. It was before it was released on CD. I had seen him a few days before in concert and figured out the chords and rhythms tranposing by ear from bootlege recordings. I was also very sick and on 2 hours fo sleep when playing this piano has bad reaction too, it’s junk. I broke the low C string playing You to Thank. My real piano at home is a Baldwin baby grand.

I tried a few different combos to get a similar sound, i jerry-rigged a tape cassette cover back with packageing tape, and then supported the cover with two permanent marks. totally luck to get this sound finally after about two hours of trial runs for jsut sound.
