Betty’s Lazy Day Cinnamon Toast Recipe
Feb 19th, 2010 by Coffee Lover
In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make her Lazy Day Cinnamon Toast Recipe. Have you ever eaten cinnamon toast topped with a crisp, cinnamon-flavored meringue? Well, this is it! You’ve got to try it! It’s the best–and so simple!
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 well-beaten egg
Combine the cinnamon and sugar. Add the egg to the cinnamon-sugar mixture in a small bowl and blend thoroughly. Spread 1 heaping tablespoon of the topping on one side of each slice of bread. Spread as many slices as desired and place them on a baking sheet (spread side up). Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in an oven that has been preheated to 350 degrees. Cinnamon toast is always great to cheer everyone up on a gray, drizzly day! It’s fantastic with flavored coffee or hot chocolate!!!
